PLQ stands for PLantastiQ — a patented, plastic-free and compostable granulate developed in the Netherlands for sustainable production of packaging, cutlery, flower pots, sunglasses, speaker boxes and much more.
Produced by upcycling agricultural waste streams — mainly wheat straw — into granulate pellets that run on existing plastic processing machines such as injection molding and extrusion. No new equipment needed.

PLQ is 100% plant-based, contains no PFAS or chemical coatings, and is fully compostable. After 12 weeks, ≥90% of the original mass is broken down to particles smaller than 2mm — nutrients for the soil, zero waste. PLQ runs on existing injection and extrusion lines without new tooling.

** PP (Polypropylene) and PE (Polyethylene) are among the most widely used conventional plastics in packaging, cutlery, and consumer products. Both are fossil fuel-based materials and do not biodegrade under industrial composting conditions.
Each PLQ variant is engineered for a specific flexibility profile and application. All are made from wheat waste streams and fully compostable. They run on the same machines as PP and PE — so switching is simpler than you think.
Non-plastic film for packaging. Smooth, flexible and sturdy — keeps products fresh with a soft surface and light sheen.
